Le néon LED ne présente aucun danger pour les enfants

One of the main issues with traditional neon lights is safety, especially for children. With fragile glass construction and high voltage electricity, these neon lights can be a risky option for decorating your child's room. However, there is a way to achieve that dazzling look without any of the associated risks: it's LEDs!

Sustainability

Traditional neon lights are made from heated glass. This manufacturing method, while acceptable for businesses or homes occupied only by adults, is not practical for a child's room. All it takes is a stray ball or too much rough play and glass shards will cover the floor of your child's room.

LED neon signs, on the other hand, are made of flexible and shockproof tube. If the sign falls or is hit by a flying toy, the durable LED tube will survive with, at worst, a scratch or two. And even if it does break, it will not shatter like glass and produce dangerous, hard-to-see shards.

Instead, the only thing that could be damaged is the feelings you have for your beautiful sign; but with a one-year warranty, even those are protected!

Electricity instead of gas

Traditional neon is lit by inert gas, while LED neon is lit by electricity, just like your lamp. This avoids not one but two potential risks. Firstly, as glass tubes age and wear out, the toxic gas in them starts to leak out. While LED tubes may wear out over time (much longer), there will be no gas inside that will escape. This also eliminates the risk of massive gas release due to glass neon tube breakage. While electric shocks are no fun, using electricity instead of gas is definitely safer. And as you will see, even the risk of electric shock is reduced with our LED technology.

Low voltage

While electricity always poses some risk in your home, this risk can be greatly reduced by your choice of product. This is where choosing an LED lighted sign over a traditional sign can make the biggest difference.

Traditional neon signs require approximately 15,000 volts to operate. This far exceeds the safety threshold of 30 volts and presents a particularly high risk to curious or accident-prone children.

LED neon lights are less than half that safety threshold, requiring only 12 volts. It's almost as safe as your child's nightlight!

This lower voltage also solves another problem. Those 15,000 volts of electricity cause traditional neon lights to get very hot, putting your child at risk for burns and limiting the life of your sign. LED neon lights do not get hot! This means your child can indulge their curiosity and touch the sign as they please. It also means that your artwork will survive their childhood!

Setting up

Our panels have been designed to reduce the risk of injury, even in small ways. A complete installation kit is included, including screws that will secure the panel to your wall, eliminating the risk of it falling and injuring your child. We've also reduced the risk of clutter and entanglement by limiting the design to a single cord that can be easily hidden.

Your child's future

While LED neon lights protect your child from common injuries associated with the construction and powering of traditional neon lights, they also contribute to your child's safety in another way. Due to the longevity, construction practices and low voltage of LED neon signs, environmental damage is greatly reduced.

You can help cultivate a healthy planet for your child by investing in LED neon lights that don't harm the environment. What more do you want for your child?
