ABOUT ANDY WARHOL
Like his art, he has his roots in middle-class Pittsburgh. Born to immigrant parents, Andy developed an early desire for reinvention. After attending the
Carnegie Institute of Technology, he became a popular commercial artist in New York. Always eager for reinvention, he once again became a pop-art sensation in the 1960s,
changing the art world with his distinct graphic style and use of screen printing. Andy Warhol not only represents the spirit of 1960s America, but he is also at the center of the cultural shift that was taking place at the time, from music to identity to personal expression.
This collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation is our way of continuing his legacy, reinventing his work once again with LED neon.
