Vegas is known for its iconic neon lights, and the one on these 2 lovers says Love

"Finding love is definitely the best thing that ever happened to me," says Cole, a hotel manager in the hospitality capital of the world. He and his fiancée Leena have known each other since childhood. But it wasn't until he returned from abroad that their friendship took a more romantic turn.

"We've actually known each other since elementary school," Cole says. "So, as we are now in our 30s, so it's been a long time." For four years, Leena taught in Australia, New Zealand and South Korea.

"I knew it was really her, the first time we saw each other after she had lived abroad for many years," Cole recalls. "There was some kind of immediate connection we felt with each other." After three years of dating, Cole was ready to make a move. The two childhood friends had always been "a little different from the norm," so he knew his proposal had to be, too.

Using a custom neon LED for the proposal was an obvious choice. "I came across it and thought it would be unique," Cole says. "None of my friends had done it before, so I wanted to stand out." And stand out he did. He enlisted the help of Leena's mother and relatives to carry out the top secret mission. "I chose a special place in Lake Las Vegas, where we spent our first Valentine's Day together," Cole explains. Away from the noise and crowds, this location was perfect for the engagement.

"It was right at sunset, so the neon LED was beautiful with the lake in the background," Cole says. "The neon was a game changer and made the occasion very special. As for that last "Marry Me Leena"? Well, they'll hang it at their engagement party and find a special place for it in their home. "It's completely unexpected, and it's something you can cherish and tell your whole life," he says.

So what does a date night look like for these two neon-obsessed lovebirds? "There's a place in town called the Neon Museum where you can find all the signs of old Las Vegas hotels and casinos." Cole says of the couple's favorite spot, "A must-visit if you want to feel like you're in old Vegas."
